Function
Aircraft warning light produce flashing light to warn the existence of obstruction structure for aircraft, depends on the height of obstruction, different types of aircraft warning light should be installed.
Application
Telecommunication towers, chimneys, smoke stacks, high-rise buildings, large bridges, port machinery, construction machinery, wind turbines and other industries.
Basic Knowledge
The configuration of aviation obstruction lights should first consider the height of obstacles or buildings, and all the height of structure in meters is calculated from above of ground level.
High-intensity obstruction lights are recommended on structures with a height of more than 150m.
In the case of an object to be lighted, one or more low-, medium- or high-intensity obstruction lights should be located as close as possible to the top of the object. For chimney and other similar structures, the top light should be located at a sufficiently low position below the top to minimize contamination by smoke.
For a large object or a group of dense objects that should be illuminated, aviation obstruction lights must be set up to indicate the basic outline of the object: the arrangement and quantity should be able to identify obstacles from each azimuth and should not be covered by any part of the obstructions
Obstruction light, or aircraft warning light, is a light specifically designed to illuminate the position of tall buildings, high-rise tower, and any other high height objects to avoid the interfere with aircrafts. Red has the longest wavelength than any other color, it is obvious to see in the dark than the color blue and easier for pilots to spot them from above, besides, Red light does not interfere with your night vision，so that aircraft warning lights are designed to produce red light to as warning to aircraft.
Depends on different obstructions structure such as buildings, tower, the aviation light can be installed 1.5-3m under the top of obstructions. When the height of the obstruction is more than 150 meters, the obstruction light can be located within 7.5 meters under the top of the obstructions.
